In this paper, we make the first steps towards a causal analysis of the expression of genes and proteins on the manifestation and stage of colorectal cancer. In order to avoid observer bias
we adopt a strictly data-driven approach. Therefore, we do not consider any prior knowledge or domain expertise when performing this initial analysis.
